Franco Viola (born June 4, 1988) is an Italian football coach and former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. He started his professional career playing for several Italian clubs such as AC Perugia, AS Sora, and FC Grosseto.
After retiring from playing in 2015, Viola began his coaching career. He worked as an analyst for Serie A side US Sassuolo and later became part of the coaching staff for the Italy U18 national team. In 2019, he was appointed as head coach of the Italian Lega Pro club Pianese.
Viola holds a UEFA A coaching license, which is the second-highest qualification a football coach can achieve in Europe. Despite his young age, he is considered a promising coach with a bright future ahead of him.
